Democratic primary voters across New York need to know first and foremost that Comptroller Tom DiNapoli is a champion for working and middle-class taxpayers and is leading the fight for a more affordable New York. As Comptroller, he strengthened New York’s pension fund into the nation’s second-largest and most stable and exposed government corruption, recovering over $100 million for New Yorkers. Tom is unafraid to take on powerful special interests—from Musk to Trump, put corrupt officials away, and deliver real investments and retirement security for New Yorkers. That’s why he’s strongly endorsed by Attorney General Tish James and labor unions representing hundreds of thousands of working families.

Democratic primary voters across New York need to know in combination that Drew Warshaw and Raj Goyle are wrong for New York.

Multi-millionaire Drew Warshaw is on the side of wealthy corporations, not New Yorkers. Warshaw, who got his start as a political hack working for disgraced Governors Eliot Spitzer and Andrew Cuomo, and became CEO of a corporation that claims to create affordable housing but was really helping corporate landlords evict working-class people from their homes, particularly women and minorities. Unsurprisingly, nearly half of Warshaw’s donations come from out of state and even more from wealthy real estate developers and landlords.

When Raj Goyle was a legislator in Kansas, he voted with Republican extremists 80% of the time, earned an A rating from and was endorsed by the NRA, voted against abortion rights, gun control, and immigrants’ rights. Additionally, he’s now facing a lawsuit from a former business partner that alleges he engaged in self-dealing, fiduciary breaches, and manipulation of corporate governance to enrich himself—and was responsible for a toxic workplace that was, “condescending and disrespectful to women.”
